Tips on How to Eat Healthy and Exercise at Home

During this time of enhanced measures such as social distancing and quarantine due to the current crisis, some of us surely miss all the things that we used to do outside like eating at our favorite restaurant and working out at the gym. But since it is also the time of working from home, there’s no reason you can’t do all those other things at home as well. So, we will be sharing some tips on how to keep you out of the boredom black hole with ways on how to eat healthy and exercise in the comfort of your own home.

Eating healthy doesn’t just mean to eat foods that avoid any sort of weight gain; it’s much more complex than that. Eating healthy also means avoiding foods that contain ingredients that aren’t good for your health in general, as well as making sure that your food intake is full of nutrients that boost your immune system. So here are some food and drinks that are best stock up on and consume:

· Citrus Fruits – they are full of vitamin C that increase white blood cell production and helps to fight infections

There are many possible recipes with that can incorporate these foods in order for you to stay on top of your healthy food intake. Although eating well is the most important factor in overall health, exercising also plays a major role in it. It regularly decreases the risk of developing diseases, while strengthening your muscles and bones. Since going to the gym might not be an option right now, here are some very helpful exercises that can be done at home:

· Push-ups – beneficial to upper body strength since it works on the triceps, pectoral muscles, shoulders, as well as the core and lower back, all at one time.

· Lunges – works on your abs, back muscles, glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, and calves. It also improves posture and range of motion.

· Sit-ups – beneficial to your core strength, improves athletic performance, makes your balance and stability better, increases flexibility, and improves posture.

· Tuck Jumps – works on your total integrated body, burns extra calories in less time, and strengthens and tones your lower body.

· Plank – strengthens the core, increases muscle definition, heightens metabolism, improves balance, and enhances bone and joint health.
