Enjoy this dessert with zero use of sweet syrup. You might not believe me but yeah, with richberry's miracle berry you can try dessert with natural sweetness without the use of sugar/sweet syrup.

Ingredients:

630 grams sweet potatoes (cooked and mashed)

One 9-inch unbaked pie shell

42 grams margarine

1 cup skim milk

45 ml lemon juice

5 ml lemon peel

1 egg yolk

3 egg whites (beaten stiff)

¼ teaspoon cinnamon

2 grams salt

Tip: To reduce the saturated fat in this recipe, use vegetable oil in making the homemade pie shell.

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 3500F.

Use an electric mixer to blend the margarine, sugar, and salt together.

Add cinnamon, lemon juice, egg yolk, and lemon peel to the mixture.

Mix in sweet potatoes and skim milk to the mixture. Blend the ingredients well.

Fold in the egg whites.

Pour the entire mixture onto the unbaked pie shell.

Bake the pie for 50 minutes or until a knife inserted through the center comes out without crumbs.

Consume Miracle Berry: Just before digging in, chew 1 or more freeze-dried miracle berry (this can also be done during the preparation of ingredients). Ensure to remove pits to avoid a bitter taste.

Fact: The active ingredient miraculin from miracle berry will turn sour foods such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, non-fat yoghurt and other citrus food to taste sweet without adding sugar. We recommend two halves or 2 servings for maximum effectiveness. Make sure to follow instructions from the back of the packaging.

There is a need to add sugar in desserts, if you wanted to push through with sweeteners and sugar to have the flavour that you want, you may also do so.
