Sour tart flavoured drink as expected. You need to have your richberry's miracle berry first before you sip this drink to enjoy the natural sweet flavour without the use of sugar and sweetener to taste.
Ingredients: FOR THE SYRUP 2 c. small pineapple chunks, plus two wedges and two pineapple leaves, optional, for garnish 1 (1-inch) piece fresh ginger, sliced into very thin coins FOR EACH DRINK 3/4 c. unsweetened coconut milk 1/2 c. guava juice 2 tbsp. passion fruit juice 1 to 2 tbsp. pomegranate or tart cherry juice Ice
Directions:
In a small saucepan, over medium heat combine pineapple, ½ cup water, sugar, and ginger. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and let simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a measuring cup or bowl, pressing on solids to release any extra juices; discard solids.
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 2 tablespoons of pineapple-ginger syrup, coconut milk, guava juice, passionfruit juice, and 1 tablespoon pomegranate juice. Add more pomegranate juice, if desired for a darker color. Shake vigorously until well chilled.
Pour into two glasses filled with ice. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and leaf.
Consume Miracle Berry: Just before digging in, chew 1 or more freeze-dried miracle berry (this can also be done during the preparation of ingredients). Ensure to remove pits to avoid a bitter taste.
Fact: The active ingredient miraculin from miracle berry will turn sour foods such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, non-fat yoghurt and other citrus food to taste sweet without adding sugar. We recommend two halves or 2 servings for maximum effectiveness. Make sure to follow instructions from the back of the packaging.
