Margarita has been the perfect specimen of a cocktail with Tequila Sunrise which is sugary and sweet. With the presence mezcal to add some smoke, also with Cointreau and lime to make it more margaritaesque, and a rich and spicy hibiscus–habanero syrup in Tart aroma of lime juice and zest; acidic, then spicy, lingering hot, slightly sweet flavor with richberry.

Ingredients:
1½ oz (44 ml) mezcal
½ oz (15 ml) Cointreau or triple sec
1 oz (30 ml) fresh orange juice
½ oz (15 ml) fresh lime juice
¾ oz (22 ml) Hibiscus–Habanero Syrup
Lime wheel, for garnish
Tajín seasoning, for garnish
Method:
In a cocktail shaker, combine the mezcal, Cointreau, orange juice and lime juice. Fill with ice, shake and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Pour the hibiscus–habanero syrup down one side of the glass so it sinks to the bottom. This will create a beautiful orange-to-red ombré effect in the glass. Garnish with a lime wheel and a dusting of Tajín on top.
Mocktail (non-alcoholic): If you wish to have a delicious non-alcoholic version, please feel free to take the alcohol out and follow the same procedure.
Consume Miracle Berry: Just before digging in, chew 1 or more freeze-dried miracle berry (this can also be done during the preparation of ingredients). Ensure to remove pits to avoid a bitter taste.
Fact: The active ingredient miraculin from miracle berry will turn sour foods such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, non-fat yoghurt and other citrus food to taste sweet without adding sugar. We recommend two halves or 2 servings for maximum effectiveness. Make sure to follow instructions from the back of the packaging.
