Whisky sour in fruity approach and mad flavour of bourdon, you would love this pretty simple rich flavoury drink with richberry. The combination of both passion fruit and grenadine make this cocktail a fun because it will magically switch from the sour-bitter flavour that you expect to sweet invigorating flavour you wouldn't imagine will come out even without adding sweet syrup.
1½ oz (44 ml) bourbon
¾ oz (22 ml) fresh lemon juice
½ oz (15 ml) Passion Fruit Syrup
¼ oz (7 ml) Grenadine
Cocktail pick, for skewering garnishes
Luxardo cherry, for garnish
Lemon wheel, for garnish
In a blender pitcher, combine the bourbon, lemon juice, passion fruit syrup and grenadine with 6 to 8 ounces (170 to 227 g) of crushed ice and blend. Pour into a goblet and garnish with the skewered cherry and lemon wheel.
Mocktail (non-alcoholic): If you wish to have a delicious non-alcoholic version, please feel free to take the alcohol out and follow the same procedure.
Consume Miracle Berry: Just before digging in, chew 1 or more freeze-dried miracle berry (this can also be done during the preparation of ingredients). Ensure to remove pits to avoid a bitter taste.
Fact: The active ingredient miraculin from miracle berry will turn sour foods such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, non-fat yoghurt and other citrus food to taste sweet without adding sugar.
