richberry Pink Squirrel

Writer's picture: Maharlika LobatonMaharlika Lobaton

The Pink Squirrel is rich, creamy and bright pink, which makes it a very attractive dessert cocktail. Crème de noyaux is a liqueur made by distilling apricot and cherry pit kernels which makes it appear in pink, combined with bitter almonds and other botanicals. In this drink, it adds a complex, nutty, sweet fruit aroma and flavor with a touch of rich bitterness which perfect for richberry. So before you have a doze of booze in pink, have a richberry and this cocktail will ramp its taste as sweet as pink.

Ingredients:

1¼ oz (37 ml) crème de noyaux

1 oz (30 ml) crème de cacao

1 oz (30 ml) heavy cream

3 Luxardo cherries, for garnish

Cocktail pick, for skewering the cherries

Method:

In a cocktail shaker, combine the crème de noyaux, crème de cacao and heavy cream. Fill with ice and shake. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with the Luxardo cherries skewered on a cocktail pick.

Mocktail (non-alcoholic): If you wish to have a delicious non-alcoholic version, please feel free to take the alcohol out and follow the same procedure.

Consume Miracle Berry: Just before digging in, chew 1 or more freeze-dried miracle berry (this can also be done during the preparation of ingredients). Ensure to remove pits to avoid a bitter taste.

Fact: The active ingredient miraculin from miracle berry will turn sour foods such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, non-fat yoghurt and other citrus food to taste sweet without adding sugar. We recommend two halves or 2 servings for maximum effectiveness. Make sure to follow instructions from the back of the packaging.

Warning: Alcohols are for over 21 years of age and above. Drink responsibly, do not drink and drive.
