Just waiting for an escape to the islands? Get there by pureeing a pineapple with lime, then combining it with water and rum to create this tropical beverage. The rich sour taste is perfect for richberry that you probably a glass or two due to the surprising sweeter taste. Cheers!

Ingredients:

1/2 pineapple, chopped (about 2 cups)

4 oz rum

3 tablespoons simple syrup

Juice of 1 lime

2 cups cold water

Method:

Blend the pineapple, rum, and lime juice together until smooth. Pour into pint glasses or mason jars.

Top off with 1 cup of water each and stir to combine.

Mocktail (non-alcoholic):If you wish to have a delicious non-alcoholic version, please feel free to take the alcohol out and follow the same procedure.

Consume Miracle Berry: Just before digging in, chew 1 or more freeze-dried miracle berry (this can also be done during preparation of ingredients). Ensure to remove pits to avoid bitter taste.

Fact: The active ingredient miraculin from miracle berry will turn sour foods such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, non-fat yoghurt and other citrus food to taste sweet without adding sugar. We recommend two halves or 2 servings for maximum effectiveness. Make sure to follow instructions from the back of the packaging.
