This easy breakfast, snack or even on-the-go treats is fully packed with vitamin C. With its citrusy flavour and no sugar added, you are going to enjoy this fruity yoghurt with naturally sweet with richberry's miracle berry.
2 cups fresh or frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
12 oz Greek yogurt
Make the compote by mixing the berries, and lemon juice in a small non-reactive saucepan. Let it sit for 20 minutes. After the berries have mascerated and released its juices, set the saucepan over low heat and cook for about 5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl to cool. You can use the compote immediately, or if you wish, store it in a covered container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Place 2-3 tablespoons compote in the bottom of 4 glass jars. Top with about 3 oz Greek yogurt and fresh berries.
Enjoy the yogurt cups immediately or store tightly covered in the refrigerator.
Consume Miracle Berry:
Just before digging in, chew 1 or more freeze-dried miracle berry (this can also be done during the preparation of ingredients). Ensure to remove pits to avoid a bitter taste.
The active ingredient miraculin from miracle berry will turn sour foods such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, non-fat yoghurt and other citrus food to taste sweet without adding sugar. We recommend two halves or 2 servings for maximum effectiveness. Make sure to follow instructions from the back of the packaging.
