Writer: Maharlika LobatonMaharlika Lobaton

Quick and easy, this lemon delight is made with no sugar added. To achieve the yummy candy-like taste, we only use richberry's miracle berry.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup butter, melted

  • 1 cup ground pecans

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

  • 1 (21 ounce) can lemon pie filling

  • 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions:

  • Step 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a 7x11 inch baking dish, combine flour, melted butter and half of pecans. Spread mixture evenly and bake 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool completely.

  • Step 2 In medium bowl, cream together cream cheese until smooth. Spread over cooled crust. Chill 30 minutes in refrigerator.

  • Step 3 Spread lemon pie filling over chilled dessert. Spread whipped topping over lemon filling, and top with remaining pecans. Refrigerate until serving.

Consume Miracle Berry:

Just before digging in, chew 1 or more freeze-dried miracle berry (this can also be done during the preparation of ingredients). Ensure to remove pits to avoid a bitter taste.

Fact:

The active ingredient miraculin from miracle berry will turn sour foods such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, non-fat yoghurt and other citrus food to taste sweet without adding sugar. We recommend two halves or 2 servings for maximum effectiveness. Make sure to follow instructions from the back of the packaging.

Note: Sometimes you may need to add at least 5-7% of the total quantity of sugar required, this is due to the chemistry of the food, however, you may skip this as you wish. The goal is to totally reduce sugar and yet experience the same taste.
