richberry Fresh Tamarind Juice

Writer: Maharlika LobatonMaharlika Lobaton

Fresh and sour, you're gonna need richberry's miracle berry to make it taste yummier. You don't need sugar to make it sweet. Try it with richberry and surprise yourself one miracle at a time.

Ingredients:

  • 15 dried tamarind pods

  • 2 quarts water

Steps to Make It: Gather the ingredients.

  1. Bring half the water to a boil in a large pot over high heat.

  2. While you are waiting for the water to boil, prepare the tamarind pods: remove the brittle outer shell and pull off as many strings as you can; discard the shell and strings.

  3. After the water comes to a rolling boil, remove it from the heat and place the inner portion of the tamarind. Let the tamarind soak for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

  4. At this point, the water will have cooled down. Use your fingers to squeeze out the hard tamarind seeds and remove the remaining strings; discard them.

  5. Place the liquid and remaining pulp in a blender and process until the pulp is fully blended into the water.

  6. Run the liquid through a strainer, if you wish, or leave it pulpy.

  7. Pour your delicious richberry Fresh Tamarind Juice into a pitcher, add the rest of the water, and refrigerate until cold.

  8. Serve over ice, if desired.

Consume Miracle Berry:

Just before digging in, chew 1 or more freeze-dried miracle berry (this can also be done during the preparation of ingredients). Ensure to remove pits to avoid a bitter taste.

Fact:

The active ingredient miraculin from miracle berry will turn sour foods such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, non-fat yoghurt and other citrus food to taste sweet without adding sugar. We recommend two halves or 2 servings for maximum effectiveness. Make sure to follow instructions from the back of the packaging.
