Almost all nutritious food and drinks do not embrace our taste buds. If not bitter, they taste strong and sour. This oat drink is something most health-conscious would love to consume and most kids would love to taste. Find out how this strong and rich taste juice becomes naturally sweet.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 small ripe banana
1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen red cherries
2/3 cup non-fat yoghurt
4 dates minced
2 tsp ground flax seed
Pinch nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tbsp honey
1 cup gluten-free rolled oats
Method:
In a food processor or blender, puree the banana, cherries, non-fat yoghurt, almond milk, flax, spices and vanilla. Stir in the oats and transfer to two mason jars. Refrigerate overnight.
The next day stir in some cherries on top.
Consume Miracle Berry
Just before enjoying your drink, chew 1 or more halves of freeze-dried miracle berry. Ensure to remove pits to avoid a bitter taste.
Fact
The active ingredient miraculin from miracle berry will turn sour foods such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, non-fat yoghurt and other citrus food to taste sweet without adding sugar. We recommend two halves or 2 servings for maximum effectiveness. Make sure to follow instructions from the back of the packaging.
