richberry Candy-Like Bacon Green Beans

Writer: Maharlika LobatonMaharlika Lobaton

Don't fret when the word candy struck you. This recipe has no sugar or sweetener ingredient. The candy look of beans and the natural sweet taste was because you ate a miracle berry from richberry. Enjoy the natural sweet flavour, it's no artificial at all.

Food Type: Main Dish

Total Time: 20 minutes

Serves: 10

Ingredients:

1/4 lb pepper bacon

4 cups chopped green beans

3/4 cup chopped red onion

Preparation:

Stir fry pepper bacon in hot skillet till crisp for 2 minutes and drain off most of the fat.

Add red onion and stir fry till onion softens.

Add in green beans; stir to mix with onion and simmer covered for 2 minutes.

Dish onto serving plate and enjoy.

Consume Miracle Berry: Just before digging in, chew 1 or more freeze-dried miracle berry (this can also be done during the preparation of ingredients). Ensure to remove pits to avoid a bitter taste.

Fact: The active ingredient miraculin from miracle berry will turn sour foods such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, non-fat yoghurt and other citrus food to taste sweet without adding sugar. We recommend two halves or 2 servings for maximum effectiveness. Make sure to follow instructions from the back of the packaging.
